December 2015: 2015 brings first official Henlow Christmas Tree Light Switch-on
Over 250 people attended the first Henlow Christmas Lights Switch-On on Sunday 6th December. Free mince pies and mulled wine were provided by Henlow Events at St Mary’s Church at 4pm followed by a selection of Christmas Carols. It was standing room only and everyone enjoyed the festivities. At 5pm crowds gathered in Church Road for the grand switch-on by our soon to be retiring Council Clerk Mr Bert Schrier. The tree was kindly donated by Steve and Bev Dixon, and the lights provided and maintained by Henlow Parish Council. It is hoped that this will be an annual event and news regarding the 2016 festivities will be posted here.
